What you can count on

  • Price up frontYou see the price before anything is built. If it takes longer, you don’t pay more.
  • Credits back if a build failsIf a build doesn’t work out, your credits come back automatically.
  • AI clearly labelledEvery game carries a visible and a machine-readable AI label.
  • Privacy under the GDPRGoogle stats only with your consent, no photos, export or delete your data any time.

How easy it is

Three steps, no experience needed. Nothing is built until you confirm the price.

  1. Step 1: Describe

Write your idea in one sentence or tap a suggestion. You also pick a build model; Spark is preselected.

  2. Step 2: Let it build

At checkout you see the total price and confirm. Then the AI builds your game and checks it automatically. If the build fails, you get your credits back.

  3. Step 3: Play and extend

Play it in the browser, share the link and change it by chat, from 1 credit.

Then extend it however you like

Your game stays changeable: by chat in one sentence, or with one click in the Extend area.

Change it by chat

Write what should be different. Changes start at 1 credit and you see the price first. If the AI doesn’t understand a request, it costs nothing.

  • Try for free

You can try every game for 10 minutes, no credit card needed.

Your own game and games shared by link are always free and never timed.

With the Starter plan you can set a play-time price for your game and receive a share as a possible bonus when others play it. The bonus is not guaranteed and depends solely on the time played. Frequently asked questions

What is a credit?

Credits are what you build with. Every game has a price in credits that you see before building. You get credits every month with your plan, or as a pack that stays valid for 3 years.

All prices

Who owns my game?

You can always use, share and give away any game for yourself – on every plan. Commercial use, such as selling it, building for clients or using it in ads, starts with the Creator plan.

Good to know: purely AI-generated content can’t always be protected by copyright under current law. The more of your own ideas, texts and changes go into your game, the more likely it becomes something you can protect.

Usage rights in the terms (German)

Why does my game say “AI-generated”?

The EU AI Act requires AI-generated content to be recognisable as such. That’s why every game carries a visible notice and a machine-readable label in the player and in exports.

The AI notice stays in every plan and cannot be switched off.

More on AI transparency

What does a change cost?

You describe changes by chat in the studio and see the price before every change. Small changes like texts or colours cost 1 credit, typical ones like more speed or a new mechanic 8 credits, big ones like new levels 25 credits.

If the AI doesn’t understand your request, it costs nothing.

All prices

What happens if a build fails?

When a build starts, your credits are only reserved. If it doesn’t work out, you get them all back – automatically, no request needed. You can see every booking in the credit history in your account.

Can I give a game without building it myself?

Yes. With a gift card you give credits, and the recipient builds their own game. Gift cards are valid for 3 years. Or let us build it: a personal game in 48 hours starts at €19.

Give a gift card

What are world projects?

Big games in the browser: Builder & Economy with production chains, or a 3D open world with vehicles and missions. World projects come with the Studio plan, up to 5 a month. They’re low-poly or isometric, not a big-studio production. Open World 3D also comes in the “Epic” scope with 2–3 islands (at most 2 a month).

Explore world projects

Can I offer my game on other platforms?

Games run in the browser on playing.company and are tied to the platform: you play, share and publish them via our site. The exception is the HTML5 export from the Creator plan, with the commercial rights from our terms; the AI label stays in it. Other platforms usually ask you to disclose AI use yourself; provider and models are listed in your game’s AI label.

An export for third-party platforms is planned; there is no promise about a date or prices.

How old do I need to be to build games?

16 or older. If you’re between 13 and 15, you need your parents’ permission – and for purchases and subscriptions anyway. Younger people can of course play the finished games.

Youth protection notes (German)

What happens to my data? Can I upload photos?

Photos are deliberately not supported. Personal games work with text only, like a first name and a greeting. We store as little as possible, and you can export or delete your data in your account at any time.

What are Spark, Forge and Genesis?

These are the three build models. All of them build your game from your idea; the difference is thoroughness. Spark builds, checks automatically and repairs; it is the default and the cheapest. Forge plans first, reviews critically and runs a final test. Genesis also has bots play test rounds and includes the polish pass.

Forge costs ×1.6 and Genesis ×3 on the base price and takes longer (×1.8 and ×3.2). Forge and Genesis are available from the Starter plan. We check every game automatically, but mistakes can’t be ruled out. If a build fails technically, the credits reserved for it are credited back.

Compare build models

Can I extend my game later?

Yes, as often as you like. Describe a change by chat (“faster”, “boss at the end”, “2 more levels”) and you see the price first; it starts at 1 credit. In the Extend area you can add more languages (AI music, voices and trailers are planned but can’t be ordered yet), and from the Creator plan export the game as HTML5. Turning a game into a new one (remix) gets 50% off the base price.

What is the Showroom, and how does play time work?

In the Showroom you play other people’s games and our playing.company Originals right in the browser. You can try every game for 10 minutes for free, no credit card. After that you need the Play Pass (€5.99 a month or €59.90 a year, 12 months for the price of 10) or play minutes that you pay for with credits (1 credit per minute).

Your own game and games shared by link are always free and never timed.
